How do I fix my dashboard light in my 97 nissan altima?

I dropped the stick that holds the hood up and it fell on the battery terminal while the keys were in the car. Sparks flew and I removed the stick and more sparks. I quickly turned the car off and then when I turned it back on the dashboard light was out. Thank god that was all. How do I fix it? Where is the fuse for this? I can't see how fast I'm going in the dark so please help.
