False History. The Tea Party and Populism.?

A lot of people have decided that Tea Partiers like Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann are populists simply because they've found a great deal of support from white working class voters. But as someone with a bachelors degree in political science, I can tell you that populism is more than a gang of angry white people. It's about the masses rebelling against corporations and their cronies in office [i.e. the republican party] who do everything to hurt average people. Look up Huey Long. That was a genuine populist.
