Is this a good story/novel idea?

Personally I think the writing itself,your style etc is more important than plot.I've read amazing books with menial plots that really linger in the memory,and crap books with thrilling storylines.If you enjoy writing it I'm sure people will enjoy reading it.Good luck :-)
